Denver

The City of Denver is featured in The Lincoln Secret. Sean and Kim search for records of an ancestor emerging in Denver after the Civil War.

Denver grew rapidly in the latter half of the 1800's and early 1900's. Mining in the Rockies brought jobs, companies, people and wealth to Colorado, and Denver benefited as a result. Though bypassed by the Transcontinental Railroad, Denver was reached by three railroads in 1870. In the 1880's Denver was growing explosively. The City suffered some setbacks, but continued to thrive overall. Today, it is known as the Mile High City and is iconic of the Rocky Mountains.
